Musikk i Nordland har den store glede av å presentere den eksepsjonelle fiolinisten Roman Simovic, i samspill med oss! Repertoaret er Johannes Brahms´ Klaverkvintett i f-moll, Op.34 og Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovskys Souvenir de Florence, Op.70. To sterke verk fra den romantiske perioden i musikkhistorien komponert av to av datidens mest prominente komponister.

Roman Simovics (født 1981, Russland) brilliante virtuositet, unike musikalitet og nærmest ubegrensede kreativitet, har gjort at han turnerer hele verden rundt på de mest prestisjefylte scenene som the Bolshoi Theater og Rachmaninov Hall i Moskva, Mariinsky Hall i St.Petersburg, Grand Opera House i Tel-Aviv, Victoria Hall i Genéve, Rudolfinum i Praha, Barbican Hall i London, Art Centre i Seoul og Grieghallen i Bergen.
Simovic er også en prisbelønnet musiker ved flere internasjonale konkurranser som Premio Rodolfo Lipizer (Italia), Sion-Valais (Sveits), Yampolsky Violin Competition (Russland) og Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition (Polen).
Som solist har Simovic spilt og samarbeidet med verdenskjente orkestere som London Symphony Orchestra, Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra, Teatro Regio Torino, Symphony Noca Scotia (Canada), Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra (Ungarn), Camerata Bern (Sveits), Camerata Salzburg (Østerrike), CRR Chamber Orchestra (Tyrkia), Poznan Philharmonica (Polen), Prague Philharminica, North Brabant (Nederland), City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Orchestra og Orchestra Reggio della Toscana.
Som den ettertraktede artisten som han er, er han ofte invitert til, og spiller jevnlig på festivaler som Verbier Festival (Sveits), Sion Valais (Sveits), White Nights Festival (Russland), Moskvas «Easter Festival» og vinterfestival, Dubrovnik Summer Festival (Kroatia), Kotor Art (Montenegro), festivalene Bemus og Nomus i Serbia, Portogruaro (Italia), Granada Musikkfestival (Spania), sammen med musikere som Leonidas Kavakos, Evgeny Kissin, Yuja Wang, Gautie Capuson, Antoine Tamestit, Misha Maisky, Schlomo Mintz, Francois Leleux, Itamar Golan, Simon Trpceski, Janine Jansen og Julian Rachlin.
